The students at ERES were presented with a snowy, STEM challenge for the month of February. Every grade level participated in building a snowman using toothpicks and marshmallows. The students worked together in teams to build a snowman that was measurable in height and could stand alone. The ERES STEM committee plans to provide a challenge for the students each month to promote more team work, problem solving and collaborative learning in the classroom.
